Privacy Policy
Who we are
Customer Experience & Growth is operated by Jane Filing in Australia. Richard and Jane Filing provide the customer experience check service.
For privacy questions, contact Jane at hello@aapo.com.
What information we collect
When you ask about a check, we may receive your contact name, restaurant name and location, website or Google listing, email address, enquiry details and related business communications. We also use relevant restaurant information that is publicly available online.
Please do not send payment card details, identity documents or sensitive personal information through an enquiry.
Our hosting provider may record technical details such as IP addresses, page requests and browser information in its service logs. The enquiry form uses a short-lived session and abuse-prevention checks.
How we use your information
We use it to respond to your request, prepare customer experience checks and deliver reports, discuss optional paid services and keep relevant business records. We may contact you to clarify your restaurant details or the work you want us to do.
A free check request does not commit you to a paid service.
Facebook and Instagram enquiries
If you submit an enquiry through a Facebook or Instagram advertising form, Meta collects the details you enter and makes them available to us for follow-up. We use those details for the free check request and related communications described here.
Meta also handles information under its own Privacy Policy. Meta lead collection has not been activated for this service yet.
Sharing and storage
Our website is hosted by Bluehost, part of Newfold Digital. Check enquiries and correspondence are handled through Google Workspace, including our hello@aapo.com mailbox. Website enquiries are processed on Bluehost before being sent to our mailbox.
These providers process information to deliver hosting, email and related services. Information may be processed outside Australia. Newfold's policy describes international processing, and Google states that information may be processed on servers outside the country where you live. We have not verified an Australia-only storage arrangement.
See the Newfold privacy notice and Google Privacy Policy for their processing arrangements. Meta's international processing also applies if you use a Meta form.
The current website does not save enquiry text to a public file or public database. No CRM or automated review-generation service is connected. Public sample reports use invented information, not client details. Real client findings are not intended for the public sample pages.
We may also need to disclose information where required by law. Any additional service provider used for client work must be reflected in this policy before it is used for that information.
Marketing
Requesting a free check does not automatically add you to a marketing email list. Replies about a check and discussion of a service you ask about are separate from a marketing subscription.
Security and how long we keep information
The website uses HTTPS. The enquiry handler checks submissions on the server and includes measures to limit automated abuse. No website or email system can guarantee complete security.
We keep information for as long as it is needed to answer an enquiry, provide the agreed service, maintain relevant business records or meet applicable legal obligations. The period depends on the purpose and the type of record.
You can ask us to delete information we no longer need. Information that must be retained for a legitimate record-keeping or legal reason may need to be kept. Hosting and email providers may retain backup copies under their own deletion processes.
Access, corrections, deletion and concerns
Email hello@aapo.com to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Explain what you would like us to check. We may need to confirm your identity before providing or changing information.
Jane will review your request and explain the response, including any reason information needs to be retained. If your concern is not resolved, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner provides information about privacy complaints and when it can assist.
About this policy
We have used the Australian Privacy Principles as a good-practice reference. Whether the Privacy Act applies depends on the business's circumstances; this policy does not claim an exemption or a formal opt-in that has not been established.
We update this policy when our services or information-handling arrangements change. The date above shows when it was last updated.
